Who we are

Rocky Meowtain Company believes strongly that community cat care only functions when the boots-on-the-ground daily caregivers and volunteers are supported.

We wish to champion the often invisible work done by those committed to solving overpopulation concerns as well as improving quality of life through TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Release) programs and cat colony management. Stray and feral cats are often seen as a nuisance rather than the incredible little survivors they are.

Your neighbors who feed, monitor, and sterilize these cats make the cats’ lives immeasurably more comfortable and greatly extend their life expectancy. A portion of our proceeds and a great deal of our time is dedicated to these cat colony managers by way of providing food, shelters, resources, colony management assistance, and appreciation.

We thank you for supporting us, and in turn, them with your purchases. Community work makes our world go round. Each individual makes an impact.

Meet the Founders

Max Ruiz

Chenzen is a rescue from the Humane Society who was luckily only there for a few days before enchanting his owner the moment they found each other. Chenzo was named after his owners childhood hero, Chen Zhen, from Bruce Lee’s Fist of Fury. He is an absolute cuddle-bug who loves to talk and say hi to anyone visiting his castle. Chenzoid is also a senior citizen at 14 years old with a snaggle tooth to show his character, but he still has the spirit of a young lad.

Chenzen

Max is a lifelong creative with a passion for music and self-improvement, as an accomplished drummer and power lifter with unmatched drive, he thrives on rhythm and energy and is always seeking new challenges. His beloved companion Chenzen brought into his life a passion for senior cats seeking their ultimate forever homes. Max brings ingenuity, heart, and grit to Rocky Meowtain Company and all the endeavors he pursues.

Kristi Teglia

Bedelia and Figaro are siblings in birth but could not be more opposite in personality. Figaro (Fig) is named after the cat from Pinocchio due to his Tuxedo coat. He is a very smart boy who loves belly rubs and aggressive snuggle time. Bedelia (Beddie) is named after Bedelia Du Maurier on account of how chic and stunning she is. She is a brave adventurer and a diva in the highest regard. They were Kristi’s first off-the-street kitten rescue along with their brother Gus who sadly is no longer with us, but who was also an amazingly sweet little boy.

Bedelia & Figaro

Kristi began her journey into community cat work in 2020, which is also when she adopted her first foster fails. Knowing first hand where the gaps in community cat care lie, she brings a seasoned perspective to Rocky Meowtain Company. As a lover of performing arts, photography, and crafting, Kristi has a deep appreciation for creative work which translates into her design concepts. Kristi brings empathy, experience, and intensive problem solving to our mission.
